Lynyrd Skynyrd is set to go on tour in 2012. The concert tour dates this spring, summer and fall will consist of over limited of concerts throughout the United States and Canada. The Southern Rock band from Florida will be supporting their recently released 12th studio album ‘God & Guns’ which was released in late September 2009. The current band members are Johnny Van Zant (frontman) ~ lead vocalist; Gary Rossington ~ guitarist; Rickey Medlocke ~ drums, guitarist, backing vocals; Mark Matejka ~ guitarist, backing vocals; Robert Kearns ~ bassist, backing vocals; Michael Cartellone ~ drumist and Peter Keys ~ keyboards.

The opening act or supporting act will be Bret Michaels from legendary rock band Poison and the set-list could vary throughout the Lynyrd Skynyrd tour stretch. The Southern Rock band is most known for their “Street Survivors” album in 1977 which went double platinum and one of the highest Billboard 200 charted debut album of the band’s lengthy career.
