Washington ~ Time is running out to purchase a new home in 2010. New home buyers seekers are planning to purchase a house and benefit from the government $8,000 tax credit; only eligible for first-time home owners. However you only have until April 30 to sign the sales contract and your Realtor or you have to close the deal by June 30. However current homeowners could receive up to $6,500 in tax credits;depending on how long you lived in your current home.

At least the tax credit voucher helped the lopsided housing market.Overall “it’s motivates people to buy new homes”. Government officials is seeking a long term financial goal to improve the Housing industry. Maybe the government could approve another tax credit in the near future to jump start the real estate market.Huh!

Key Requirements:

*$125,000 is the limit or max for individuals and $225,000 for married couples»» filing jointly.

*A home tax credit of up to $6,500 is only available for repeat home buyers who have owned a single home for 5 straight years out of 8 years.(House in your name as the owner for 5 consecutive years)

*The max price or cap for a new home is $800.000.
