Hawaii–Chrysler plans to slash 789 dealerships of 3200- including the only dealership selling Chryslers, Jeeps and Dodges on Maui. Included on the list is Island Dodge in Kahului, whose owner is Roy Kitagawa, according to the Chrysler list.

It is the only dealership selling Chrysler products on Maui. It seems that dealers in small towns,rural areas and suburb are targeted.Chrysler said in its filing that sales are too low at many of the dealerships. Chrysler dealerships are set close on June 9.
