Iowa–Chrysler dealerships in Iowa to close under the company’s bankruptcy filing Thursday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York. Chrysler says 3,200 dealers nationwide is too many but the dealership association says the cuts aren’t the fix Chrysler is looking for. In a bid to keep troubled auto-maker Chrysler from folding, the company has released the list of dealers it is asking a bankruptcy court to approve closing.
The company indicated in the filing that it plans to close 789 dealerships by June 9, including 22 in Iowa.
